That's more than just some Silvia, that's an S15! Never sold in the states

Nice catch! What state? Never seen an S15 in the US. Plenty of front end conversion S13/S14's. Never a true Silvia.

That's why I found it awesome! There are tons of odd unicorns in this state, you just have to be lucky enough for them to be traveling in your direction!

Wait, are these 25 years old already?

Northern Illinois, of all places. You'll sometimes see unicorns in this state (like the 1998-2002 smart and the Hyundai i40 wagon below) but you're hardly ever lucky enough to snap pics of them.
The 1998-2002 era smart city coupe is not a car that can be legally imported. Only the facelifted 2003-2006 models can. This one's VIN reads it as a 2005 and it has a Salvage title...Hmmm...
This was taken in August...Hyundai taking press pics for a non-US bound car in Chicago?

I see i40s daily and they're all that shade of blue! It's been on sale a couple of years though so I'm surprised anyone was taking publicity pictures at this stage.

My bad, the photos with the i40 and the Harlequin VW were taken in 2012.
Still strange, that car never appeared at the Chicago Auto Show and from what I see, there aren't any press photos of that thing anywhere near Chicago. Most interesting, I'm apparently the only person who bothered to take a picture of it and write about it...
